• Schedule Industry Mentor Sessions:  Connect with an Aerospace industry professional and NASA Human Spaceflight (HSF) Subject Matter Expert (SME). Our Industry Mentors are eager to teach, share, and to bring their real-world Space Mission:  ‘knowledge’, ‘lessons-learned’, and ‘experience’ into the classroom.

• Schedule Industry Instructor Sessions:  Connect with an experienced Aerospace industry Instructor to acquire skill in time management, improving personal qualities, and learn effective strategies to achieve Academic Competitive Excellence (ACE).  The key principles to achieve ACE, are as follows:
  • A Keen Focus on Academic Goals: Successful students set clear, precise, well-defined academic goals. Whether short-term or long-term, having specific objectives provides a practical roadmap for achievement and helps maintain motivation.
  • Effective Time Management: Mastering Time Management is crucial to academic success. High-achieving students create organized schedules, prioritize tasks, and use productivity tools to make the most of their time.
  • Diligence and Hard Work: Careful and persistent quality work and sincere effort is the crucial element that turns an ordinary student into an extraordinary one. Consistent hard work and dedication are key to mastering subjects and achieving academic success.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving Skills: Developing critical thinking skills allows students to analyze information, question assumptions, and solve complex problems. This skill is essential for academic excellence and real-world applications.
  • Resilience and Adaptability: The ability to bounce back from setbacks and adapt to new challenges is crucial. Resilient students view failures as learning opportunities and remain persistent in their pursuit of excellence.

  • Utilizing Resources and Support: Leveraging available resources such as: tutors, study guides, and multimedia aids that will significantly enhance learning. Seeking help when needed is a sign of strength, not weakness.

This includes spearheading or participating in academic extracurricular activities; ie. organize a school fundraiser, host a charity event, etc., and take on a leadership role.

• Schedule Time Management (TM) Productivity Skills & Tools Sessions, including:

  • PERT [Program Evaluation & Review Tasks/Technique] Diagrams, to analyze multiple timed tasks, their inter-dependence, priority, the estimates of time, and range of time necessary to complete each task activity between two successive events (start date and projected end-date) involved in completing a project.

  • CPM/CPA [Critical Path Method/Analysis]:  Plan, coordinate, calculate time-priority tasks, identify tasks that are necessary for project completion, and to determine amount of schedule flexibility.

  • MS-Project to prioritize and organize multi-task assignments into a timed-task schedule with the ability to check Task Status, view Task Usage & Resource Usage, create custom Dashboards or integrate Power-BI Dashboards, Track Progress & Milestone Status using Gantt Charts, check Project Phases on a time-line, and generate built-in Reports; ie. Project, Cost & Schedule Overviews — at a glance (ATAG).

  • Kanban Boards to visually track: task work flow, task progress, and task status — at a glance (ATAG).

  • MS-Office 365 Cloud Power User:  Obtain a FREE Student version including:  MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-PowerPoint, MS-Access and MS-SQL.

• Schedule Personal Tutor Sessions:  Connect with an available (Peer-Student) Personal Tutor to reinforce understanding and mastery of CORE STEM-A subjects.
